Firefox 6 Beta for Android now available to Download, Faster web browsing and enhancements

As Firefox for Android features still in development, Mozilla regularly released the latest Beta version to get users feedback! • Rendering optimisation for pages that RTL layout (languages like Arabic, Hebrew)
• Touch Events : Expose touch events to content for better interaction with web pages and services, and improved compatibility with existing web content.
• IndexedDB database storage for web pages
• Better performance and improved memory management.

Google Maps updated to v5.7 with Transit Navigation, better search, photo viewer [video]

Google just updated Google Maps with Navigation to v5.7.0 which introduce a major feature called Transit Navigation and a handful features such as Updated Directions, Improved Search Suggest, Photo viewer for Place pages. Let’s have brief look at the new features:

Transit Navigation:  Google Maps Navigation (Beta) now added Transit Navigation which provides navigation instructions for public transportation in more than 400 cities around the globe. This is very useful in a foreign city where you don’t speak the language and can’t read the route maps or understand the announcements. When you are on trip using Google Maps Navigation, you can even launch another application and Google Maps will still display an alert in your notification bar and vibrate your phone when your stop is coming up or time to make a transfer. Updated Directions: In Google Maps now Navigation icon will automatically appear and with just a single click you can get access to step-by-step directions in place for driving and walking which does not currently appear for public transit.

Improved Search Suggest: Google Maps now added a bunch of category icons which will show the type of search result allowing to find quickly what you want and even any place you got directions to or called directly from its Places page will be included as a suggestion for a relevant search.

Photo viewer for Place pages: Since google introduced business photos in Google Maps, millions of photos have been tagged around the world. Now Photo Viewer in Google Maps application will allow user to see the images tagged to certain locations.

Android 3.2 Update will release soon, Huawei MediaPad to be first 7-inch Tablet to feature Honeycomb 3.2 out of the box

As the rumor suggested and based on the clues now we can say google’s latest Honeycomb OS is getting another update soon as Android 3.2. Before google treat us with Ice Cream Sandwich in Q4 this Update to Android 3.2 will bring support for Honeycomb OS on 7-inch screens, Qualcomm processors powered Tablet.

By adding support for 7-inch displays will allow manufacturers to bring Honeycomb on their existed Tablets like HTC Flyer, Galaxy Tab etc. HTC already confirmed it’s customer that Honeycomb on it’s way to HTC Flyer. When last month underdog company Huawei announced it’s upcoming 7-inch Tablet MediaPad and claimed it will feature Honeycomb Android 3.2 right out of the box we didn’t put much attention, but it seems things are real. Huawei MediaPad to be first 7-inch Tablet to feature Honeycomb 3.2. Along with Android 3.2 the MediaPad will feature a  1.2GHz Qualcomm’s dual core processor, 7-inch (217 pixels-per-inch IPS) capacitive touchpanel with full 1080p HD video support, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel auto focus main camera and other standard connectivity. The  MedaiPad will also come with pre-installed Let’s Golf and Documents to go. The tablet measures just 10.5mm in thickness and weigh s approximately 390g.
