piPOIAlert is a POI (Point of Interest) warning system for Symbian devices
(eg: speed cameras, constructions sites, gas stations, malls, restaurants, ...)
Basically it warns the user (visual + audio) when a POI is getting close (in a defined area).

piPOIAlerts main components and features are:
Global GPS status icon (on/off in settings)
A compass pointing in driving direction
Current position (black circle)
Alert area (customizable in settings)
All POIs (red circle) in a defined radius
Information about the closest POI in driving direction
Current speed
Sound / Popup Alert (on/off in settings)
GPS sampling rate
...
The settings pane allows the user to adapt the notification/alert area details, to activate/deactivate features and to customize some style variables.


Supported smartphones
piPOIAlert works on all Symbian (S60, Nokia) 3rd + 5th Edition and Symbian^3 devices with GPS support


Available languages
English, German

Local POI database --> no cell phone internet connection needed.

The provided download doesn't contain any POI database/file.
